whitetail and/or mule deer hunting trip
like YOU have always dreamed it.
Did you know some of the best trophy deer are
in
Saskatchewan, Manitoba, BC, W. Ontario & Alberta?
If hunting and fishing are a big part of your life I
suggest you bookmark this page now! Just to make it easier to find us again and
again.

Saskatchewan Outfitter #1
(
whitetail deer, bear, fishing, ecotours including "northern lights" )
Hunting Options (bow, rifle, or muzzleloader): 5
day packages
now with Limo pick-up in Saskatoon
With camps in
different areas of the province, we have some of the best hunting you will find.
We hunt forest fringe areas as well as farmland bordering parcels of big bush
with lots of alfalfa fields, making for excellent whitetail hunting. We scout
our areas so we know game feeding & movement patterns.
What is one of the reasons for Hawkrock's success year after year? They restrict
the number of hunters booked each year. Allan's priority is big bucks, not
putting as many hunters through his territory that is allowable. 170 + bucks are taken by his guests each year because of
this policy. Price is $4500 US
Black bear hunts with world class pike fishing
Whitetail Deer hunting in
Saskatchewan
Our deer population is high and many record bucks are taken each
year as well as lots of respectable bucks which would make any hunter happy. We
welcome guests during the November season. We run between 20 to 30 stands and
ground blinds in different settings. We take only 18 (90% opportunity)
hunters/year and average class 145 or better.
We
have success even in years when many others have excuses.

Bear hunting
with us will be very enjoyable and successful for you. We take spring hunters
and you will find good color phase with the average size being between 200 - 400
+ pounds. Skull size is more important that weight in determining your bear. If
a big bear is your dream then you have to look at this outfitter. Bear with
skulls over 20 inches are more the norm than the exception. In fact a 2005
hunter jumped the gun and took a 18" bear early in his hunt and this outfitter
was disappointed because his goal was for each hunter to take a bear over 20
inches. 2006 saw a new custom boat being used to access territory not available
in the past. Includes world class northern pike fishing. We specialize in bow
hunts. Excellent in our hunting territory. Price will be $4400 US
Bird hunts: we feel you will find it hard to find a better spot in Saskatchewan
then the Porcupine area. We have an extremely high population of geese and
ducks. Generally we hunt geese in the morning and ducks in the afternoon. Each
hunter can take 12 geese and 12 ducks home. Ideal if you want to bring you dog
along to give him a great workout collecting the birds.

Fantastic Remote FLY-IN Fishing Huge Northern Pike are plentiful and extremely
aggressive; we have caught over 100 in a day Our policy is catch and release - barbless hooks only. Every party the
last few years has caught at least a 20 pound fish!
Our fishing camp is
located at the northern tip of Saskatchewan just 60 miles south of the Northwest
Territories border. Our lakes are small enough that you'll always be able to
fish, no matter what the wind or weather conditions. From camp, you can fish a
number of lakes in addition to the many miles of the Hawkrock River. Our new in
2006 jet boat will get you places on the River that few have been.
Arctic Grayling for the amateur or experienced angler in fast flowing
rapids will keep you entertained for hours. They love to give you a good
fight.
Walleye are plentiful as well and
fishable almost any time and place we fish; delicious
Lunker Lake Trout: on average we catch and release 40 to 50
trout per boat daily with sizes averaging 15 to 18 pounds but some come in at
40.
It sure makes our
clients happy.
Northern Lights viewing is great in late August through the winter. Or come and enjoy some snowmobiling (trails hundreds of miles long), cross-country skiing, canoeing, or just come and photograph the abundant wildlife in the area (moose, wolves, coyotes, deer are seen often). We feed the deer and elk so you will get to see them up close.
Your experience with us starts as soon as they pick you up at your Saskatoon Hotel. You are then on your vacation until they deliver you back to the Airport. We wants you to have a great time, not worry about getting to here.

another nice whitetail deer taken
Hunters use tree stands which are strategically placed in order to intercept
bucks. Tree stands are heated box stands (in the case of poor weather). We also
have portable tree stands which provide us some added mobility.
Hunts offered:
Join us for an unforgettagle hunt during
November near Lake Winnipegosis.(about 4 hours drive North of Winnipeg) Our
hunting type is best described as "hunting the cover". Big old bucks did not get
that way wandering around in open territory. Hunters are placed in tree stands
above major corridors situated back in large tracts of forested lands.
Our package price includes accommodations; food;
guiding, and capping. It is just up to you to come and enjoy a great
whitetail hunt with us. Being such a small operation we ensure each guest is

Saskatchewan
Outfitter #12,
The Hunting Area
We
are located in North Central Saskatchewan and have almost 250,000 acres of
scenic mixed forest surrounding the prime habitat around East Trout and
Nipekamew Lakes. A mix of mature forest and harvested areas make for game rich
pockets of cover with an abundance of forage
Many of the areas we are
developing have never been hunted.

The Hunt All sites are a short ATV ride from your guides truck and
can be anywhere from a 10 mile to 30 mile truck trip from the lodge on good
roads.
The stands are all enclosed, heated and high enough to stand in. They are
completely lined inside for quietness and warmth, we have been told by many
hunters they are the most comfortable blind they have hunted in. All setups
are placed in a location to get the best possible distance and visibility to the
bait site and at the same time keep hidden and camoflauged from the deer. We
always set up the blinds on 4-12 ft stands for extra height. We will using
digital timer cameras starting in 2006, prior and during the season and have a
good quaility two way radios for checking in with you. The hunt is 5.5 full
days of hunting. We get you in the blind before sunrise and pick you up after
legal time. We pick you up in Saskatoon on the Sunday before your hunt and take
you back Saturday evening.
Of course we hunt over
bait, but we still scout the sites for natural game corridors and natural
feeding areas before we decide on the site. We also spend a lot of time
assessing the right setup for shooting visibility and freedom of game ro move
through the area.
The Lodge
We use the
Eagle Bay Resort at East Trout Lake, right in our area, and our hosts do a great
job of cooking and keeping all the comforts we need at the top of their
list.
The resort has newer modern cabins, the main lodge for meals and there
is a big warm full shower house within a short walking distance of all the
cabins.

Accomodadtions
The Bucks can range from 200 - 300 pounds with the does being 20-30% less. A
combination of good genetics and excellent nutrition has produced these fine
deer. In fertile bottomland mixed wood forests, which are found in the hunting
areas, deer have been shown to weigh an average of 51 pounds more at 2.5 years
of age. The large robust size of these healthy whitetails allows exceptional
antler growth. A quick check of Record Books of Whitetail Deer in Canada will
prove this. Northern deer stand out in antler size and configuration, with
massive main beams and long thick tines.

Black bear hunts - fly-in
rifle; archery or muzzleloader
We have two large tracts of Atikaki Wilderness Park allocated for operation
black bear hunts. Atikaki is an Ojibwa meaning "country of the caribou" and what
a country it is. During your float plane ride you will see the landscape is full
of lakes, streams, rivers, waterfalls, bogs, forests and rugged rock
outcroppings. Expect to see lots of bears in all color phases, Canada Moose,
Woodland Caribou, Timber Wolves, River Otters, Beavers, Bald Eagles, ... But
best of all No people or civilization. With the two areas to offer
hunts in what we do is alternate each area so that you will not be hunting in an
area that has just been hunted. All access to bait sites is by 16 foot aluminum
boats safely commandeered by our guides. Tree stands range from bow to easy
rifle distance. This way you can enjoy watching the bears come and go while
waiting for the one you are looking for. Once your photo session is complete,
and your bear is safely stored in the deer freeze ... It's Fishing time! (pike,
walleye and lake trout) Yes we included some fantastic fishing with our fly-in
bear hunts. We have dozens of trees stands
set up before your arrival and we can always make adjustments. Ground blinds are
also used. With the rolling terrain you can also spot and stalk. Birds can be
added to a deer hunt when in season. There is no non-resident rifle hunts
allowed in this region, thus making it a bow hunters paradise with extremely low
hunting pressure. Archery season starts in August and runs through November.

Hunters can expect to sit in tree stands, ladder stands or in ground blinds within, or along the edge of woodlots surrounded by patchworks of farmland. We specialize in bow hunts during Sept. and Oct.
Alberta Outfitter #10,
We have the experience and ability to customize an Alberta hunt according to your specific desires and expectations. We know what we are doing and get results. Due to our size, we are able to offer more flexibility in time, location,, terrain, and hunting style than any other outfitter in Alberta.
All of our camps are small and intimate with usually only two to four hunters and their guide(s) and cook in camp. We do not operate out of a lodge. Our many individual camps offer us to provide hunts where the animals are located, not necessarily where it is more convenient, or more financially advantageous, for us. We feel this offers our hunters a superior hunting experience. Our accommodations vary from large outfitter tents in our more remote camps through heated motorhomes/travel trailers, B&B's; ranch houses and cottages on rivers to hotels/motels in small towns and villages.
Transportation is typically 4x4's and hiking but can include horseback; ATV's; jet boats; and even snowmobiles, if necessary. Our scouting, hard work and experience, combined with serious hunters, produce results.
We have meat-processing services available throughout our hunting territories and excellent taxidermy services are available in Calgary. Pick up of your meat and head/cape from camp is included in our hunt price.
Consistent with our size and prominence in the Alberta outfitting industry, we are extremely proud of our reputation for honesty, integrity, good value and hunter success. We can provide any number of references as required. We provide hunting experiences in well over 25,000 square kilometers of Alberta hunting territory in 31 different Wildlife Management Units. As a result, we can provide hunts in a wide variety of habitat and terrain.
Moose (53 hunts) Our premium moose hunts take place in the coniferous forests and willow muskegs of west-central Alberta, in the foothills of the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The more southern WMUs (412 & 414) actually border on spectacular Banff National Park with its incredible scenery. Our moose hunts are conducted over hundreds of square miles of rich wilderness habitat supported by a well-managed and moisture-abundant regional biology.
Western Canadian Moose populations flourish in these areas, as ample food, water and forest cover offer this large, and often solitary, species a peaceful and bountiful habitat in which to dwell and mate. Average bull moose racks range from 30" - 45", with body weights upward of 1,000 pounds. Although, as is our policy, we do not oversell or embellish our hunt offerings, we state that we would hope to show our hunting guests 30" to 45" moose, most years a couple of our hunters are fortunate enough to take a moose with a rack in excess of 50".
Elk (43 hunts) are without a doubt the most majestic animal in the North America big game deer family and Alberta offers some of the finest elk hunting available. You will hunt for elk on the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies and in the rolling foothill regions of SW and the more rugged foothills NW of Calgary. We offer both archery and rifle hunts. Bow hunts start in Sept. when the bulls are usually in rut, and run through to the middle of Oct. before the rifle season opens.
We offer both archery and rifle hunts on all our species.
We offer big game outfitting and guiding service for non-residents of Alberta. Our range of hunts and prices offer the best variety and best value in Alberta.
Mule deer (235 hunts) Our official position is that we expect to show our hunters minimum 140 class mule deer or larger. Yes, we do get larger muleys as witnessed by our 4-year average of 160 B&C average score for our mule deer. However, we do not want to in any way mislead any hunter into thinking that he simply has to book a hunt and turn up and that there is then every likelihood that he should have an opportunity at a 190+ class mule deer. We assure you that we have had hunters who, in spite of many communications, hear what they want to hear and not what we have really said. It is extremely important that every hunter is realistic. We want to get the big one just like every hunter. There is no doubt that we have the best mule deer hunting areas and very experienced guides. These are the criteria that typically ensure a successful hunt.
Whitetail deer (145 hunts) Alberta has developed the well deserved reputation of being the premier destination of choice for hunters looking to a quality whitetail hunt.
On average hunters should expect to see 130+ class whitetail during their hunt. Many hunters report seeing in excess of 30 whitetail during their hunt and, depending on the location and style of hunt, usually see several "keepers". We want you to get that "big one" as much as you do, and often many of our hunters are fortunate enough to harvest serious whitetails.
Canadian Resident Trophy Hunt
Pro Staff Outdoors
Canadian Residents Guided Saskatchewan Whitetail Deer Hunts. This is your chance to hunt private land which is the home of the current “World Record “and former Canadian record typical whitetail deer. With over 20 years of hunting experience in this area, we have been fortunate to have harvested several quality B&C bucks over the 165 inch mark. In already owning a successful Waterfowl Outfitting business (Pro Staff Outdoors) we certainly understand what needs to be done to provide our clients with a successful enjoyable hunt.
Our scouting season starts in early September. With spending countless hours spotting waterfowl in this area, it has given us an excellent opportunity to pattern quality B&C whitetail bucks. Also the use of trail cameras in recent years has really helped us with pin pointing big buck hang outs. In comfortable blinds, hunters can expect to watch, witness and harvest big bucks as they work feeding and bedding areas.
